Weekly Classes

Our weekly classes are designed to give working actors and aspiring working actors a place to come and sharpen their Screen acting skills. The classes include a short script breakdown, quick rehearsal with a partner and then performance; rehearsal, notes and feedback and shoot on camera. All clips are sent out weekly and every other week we review material in session.

“Just wanted to share something with you. Just came back from the set. Got lucky and booked a small role on Slow Horses. Worked for 2 days. Got a chance to do a scene with Gary Oldman. And even though I haven’t been to class for more than a year, it still wouldn’t be possible without you and without WAS. And I gotta say, I knew what I was doing, wasn’t nervous, was comfortable. Classes available

Our classes run all year round. We currently host classes in London on a Wednesday 1-4pm and 6-9pm at the Old Diorama Arts Centre. New for 2025 we are opening a class in Petersfield, Hampshire running every Monday 7:30-9:30pm at Studio 16. Below you can see our block dates but please email for further information:

An incredible place to work on your toolbox as an actor. The tutors and classes are amazing! I highly recommend for actors who want to deepen their understanding of their craft in a safe and honest environment. A big plus is the hardworking community of WAS, truly inspirational.

I've been with Working Actors Studio for almost 5 years and I couldn't be happier with the classes, technique and with the wonderful group of like-minded people. It's a great place to work on your acting skills which is well suited for skilled actors and complete beginners. And the community is always there to support you.

The training is excellent - Lee is a superb, meticulous teacher and I get so much out of each session. The practical aesthetics technique has enabled me to find more truthful, authentic performances.   I am a professional actor who’s been in the business for over 10 years. After many years of attending several different workshops I can undoubtedly say that Working Actor Studio is one of the best acting workshops out there in London, if not the UK. Lee Lomas’s technique brings out the ‘real’ you into every character you are faced to portray and perform. I have been with Working Actors Studio for over 2 years and since I began being taught by them, both my acting skills and personal views of myself in general have improved tremendously. I now can read a role without any hesitation and fear and actually look forward into discovering what kind of side of myself I can naturally bring out into the role.   The training at WAS, gives you the tools you need to break down scripts, analyse text - scenes, to work on what you bring to the table. I think it's a valuable place to train for anyone serious about this craft. Take the work seriously and have fun while you're doing so

  A great class and very welcoming community. Each week, you are given the opportunity to try out a scenes from a wide variety of texts(film, TV and stage) and gain constructive and clear feedback on your work. Best of all, after the class you receive filmed footage, a really invaluable tool in developing your craft.
